oops . . .

Well, huh. I haven't posted since August 7th. Shameful. Since it's been so long you're probably only gonna get the stuff I have marked on my calendar. August 12th Chloe and I went to EndFest at the White River Amphitheater, which is an all day alternative music festival. We drove to this nearby mall and took buses out to the amphitheater. On the bus there was this guy behind us and we talked to him on the ride there. He was nice and kinda hot, even though he might have been stoned. Then we got there and saw The Gossip, Rock Kills Kid, The Subways, Wolfmother (I LOVE them), Nine Black Alps, then Mars Volta came on. So, backstory: Trojan was a sponsor and they were passing out free condoms, which people then blew up and bounced around the croud. Someone filled up a condom with piss and threw it at the band. They got pissed and walked off. I heard that after the concert they drove a van into one of the smaller stages and started calling the DJs of the radio station that put EndFest on (107.7 the End) fuckoffs and shit like that. Anyway, after Mars Volta, the headliners, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were awesome and played all the songs I had hoped they would. It was Chloe's first concert and by far the best concert I've been to. SO, the 14th we headed off camping in Eastern Washington with Grandma and Papa and the Canonicas. It was hella fun, we swam in the river, played volleyball with this family that was staying there (and their very cute sons), and had an awesome time. We played ultimate frisbee with the family, too. We got home the 17th. Then, the 19th, we went to Seward Park in Seattle to meet this sailing family dad has talked to online alot. They were very nice. We had lunch with them and went swimming in the lake, then we went to Shakespeare in the Parks and saw Midsummer Night's Dream. Playing Puck was a cute young woman who played Puck better than anybody else I've seen. Anyway, it was hella fun, too. Then, the 21st, I woke up bright and early to go to the ferry to pick up Madelyn, Staci, and Sam G. to go to the train station to embark on the adventure of my life. Summer camp. We got to the train station and met my friend Kyla there and her friend Morgaine (pronounced Morgan), who later became my friend. Then we all got on the train. We arrived in Eugene at about four o'clock, if I remember correctly. At the train station was this hoarde of awesome camp people, all of whom I now adore and love with all of my heart. It nearly makes me cry thinking about them because I miss them so much. Then we got on the Unschool Buses to go to the park, where we got out and mingled with other camp people, who were getting on the camp busses there. It was kinda weird and scary at first. I met a 16 year old girl named Newt who doesn't shave and can't say her r's. I love her voice. I love her. She's the best. On the bus I met a guy named Andy, he's 18 I think. It was his last year at camp. He rocks hard, he's way sweet and talkative. Then we arrived at camp and got our cabins. The first day was kinda a blur. All of camp was kinda a blur. I'm not going to be able to give specifics or anything, cuz time flew, but I'll give highlights in the rough order they happened.

A game called Assassin, where everyone draws a name, then, without anyone hearing, they have to say "You're dead," to whoever they drew. Then they take that person's name and go kill that person.

Cameron organized a drum circle and I played in it. It was way fun. Then Dylan came up and killed me. It's how we met.

Bean's West Coast Swing workshop, which wasn't that great, but afterwards, Theo and Bean and I danced East Coast Swing, which is the kind of swing where they really do swing the girls around, like you see in movies.

Dyeing Theo's hair blue.

Dylan and Kyla's endless ping pong matches.

Someone set up an impromptu dance one night and that was awesome.

The ocean field trip. It was way cold and I was feeling kind of shitty and depressed for no reason at all. Then Abbi, a staffer who rocks amazingly (she's my favorite staffer), brought out some melted, then rehardened chocolate chips, which had hardened into a huge lump of chocolate. She used my knife to cut it up ,then passed it out to everybody. Then we tried to steal Josh's chips. Then we buried Lee, then put Josh on top of him and buried him, too. Picture:

Lee hiding in the back, Josh on top of him, Ethan behind me, Matt next to me. We added a couple more people, but I have no pictures. Ate lunch with Gier, then buried Cora while she was sitting up so it looked like a volcano with a head, then buried Josh on the side of the volcano. He couldn't stop laughing.

Bittyism: Bitty, a wonderfully hyper girl, is starting a religion. She did a workshop on it and a ton of people went. I became a martyr because I'd died in Assassin. Madelyn and Staci got married, Caleb became the dragon cuz he has purple spikes. I got a picture. His hair rocks. Well, Blogger is being crappy, so I'll sign off now before I throw my computer across the room. Ciao.

THE SUPREME UPDATE

I guess it really has been awhile, but alot has been happening. On the 22nd we went to Alderwood Mall and I bought climbing shoes at REI, then tried them out on the wall. Chloe got home on the 23rd. On the 24th, she and I decided that it was time to put Mezza to sleep. So we made an appointment for the next day, then we went to downtown Everett to go to Moonflower Magicks, a Wiccan store, and bought some candles for protection for Mezza. Then, to get our minds off everything, we walked to Romio's a pizza and pasta place. We got pizza there, then walked to the Canonica's and said HI, BYE. Then we went home. Next day we got up early and went to Lake Stevens Animal Hospital and had Mezza put to sleep.

Mezza Luna
October 2004 - July 25 2006

It was horribly sad. We buried her in the back yard. I skipped HFH, obviously. I needed to get away from life, so I went to see Monster House and mom and Chloe went to Michael's (a craft store) and the pet store for rat food. But then, after the movie they came to pick me up and Chloe had fallen in love with these two baby boy rats at the pet store. So we went and looked and got them. Their names are Wodney the Wat and Lestat. Lestat is brown and white, like Mezza was, and Wodney is grey and white. There are pictures on my mom's blog, http://www.zombieprincess.blogspot.com. They're very cute and small. That night we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest again, because mom's work had given us free tickets. The next day was Chloe's welcome home party at Grandma's. Chloe's friend Gabrielle came and we had a good time. Next day was HFH, then the 28th was this bridal party for my grandpa's nephew's daughter, Ryan. It was fairly boring and girly, but I survived. And saturday was this annual Maier Party my dad's cousin Mary throws every year. We went and talked to everybody. But my dad's family is so big that I barely know anybody, so it was rather stressful. Oh, well. It was still entertaining. The next significant thing was the 4th of August. I spent the night at John and Jenny's, the people who run HFH. Because the next morning we had to wake up at 6 am to get to an adoption fair in Tacoma, Woofstock, so it made more sense for me to just sleep there. But they got a call from their daughter saying that their grandson, Hunter, was in the hospital in Lake Chelan. So John left to get the other two kids, Bailey and Morgan. He got back about 3 am and we were up most of the night. Then we got up at 6:30, loaded the car and drove to Tacoma to set up out booth. We spent all day there, handing out flyers and stuff. It was pretty fun. Then mom and dad got me at 8 pm and we went home and I went to sleep. Then yesterday, mom and I went to Macy's and I got two pair of pants and a shirt, then I went to Hot Topic cuz I neede a belt and I got a yellow one that says "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" all around it. Then I got dropped off at grandma's to play. The Canonica's and Tristan and Hailey, family friend's kids, were all there and we went swimming. Then my aunt, Denise's, friend Randy came out with his two jetskis. Chelsea went out on one solo for the first time and I got to drive one, but Denise was on with me. It wasn't fair. Chelsea had only been out once before, but they made me go out with someone. I know I sound snotty, but it wasn't right. But when I was out I stopped and a wave came and tipped us. Denise and I fell off, I climbed back on, then Denise tried to climb on, but she tipped it again and I went back in. We finally got on and we went back in. Then we had dinner, swam some more, then dad picked me up cuz we were going to dinner with mom's best friend Stephanie and her husband Rick because they're moving to Georgia. We got Thai food, said goodbye and went home. For today, I might babysit later or something. I dunno. I'm going to go now. Goodbye.

Today

Today was normal. 'Cept I woke up with no hearing in one ear. That went away though. Talked to Chloe, wrote a letter to her, redid some dragon drawings I had done awhile ago (darkened and shaded them) and did some scrapbooking. There is a possiblility that I am going to go stay with my mom's dad and step-mom in San Diego for awhile in mid-October for shits and giggles, and to see my cousin Colin, whom I have never met. Chloe gets home the 23rd, her welcome home party is the 26th, my sort-of cousin Ryan's bridal party is the 28th, and my dad's cousin's annual Maier party is the 29th. Busy week next week. Nothing else to say.

Tree Witch

This is a picture I traced out of a book called Fairies, by Brian Froud and Allen Lee (I wish I drew it). Since it didn't have a name I am calling it Tree Witch. For your enjoyment.

Fanfiction and MY LIFE GOAL

So anyway, yeah. Monday Miss Mezza has her vet visit, which went OK. Had a nice day at HFH Tuesday, then the Everett Mall was doing $1 movies, drinks, and popcorn cuz they were just opening their new, huge theatre. So, since dad was working I went alll by my lonesome to Hoodwinked and Hoot. Next day they were having the same deal, so I took Megan and we went to see Scary Movie 4, then shopped and had pizza. It was very nice. Thursday was HFH again and everybody except Jenny and I were out doing their own thing (SARAH'S 24TH B-DAY! CONGRATS), so she and I took care of everything. Then directly after HFH, I went out to Grandma's with Chelsea and Maddie and we hung around chillin', saw an awesome episode of Naruto with the world's funniest line(even if I told you, you wouldn't understand), drifted in the shallows of the bay, ate watermelon. Oh, yeah, I spent the night there, so this took place over a period of two days. Oh, I have discovered an awesome site and phenomena: FANFICTION. And http://www.fanfiction.net.
I have two stories on there, as of now, but my friend wrote the one entitled Just One Night, and very soon it will be transferred to her new account. Both stories are Eragon fanfics. My username is vampyrecurse, just search for that. Anyway, Saturday I went into work with mom and worked on my fanfic, In the Hands of Fate. At 4 we went to the Volunteer Appreciation Party HFH was throwing, which was enjoyable. Baby Hero is getting teeth! There was a live abnd there called The Quitters. And today I hung out, some with mom (we went to Bartell's Drug Store and Safeway), read and wrote fanfiction and surfed the net.

AND I HAVE ESTABLISHED MY LIFE GOAL: I AM GOING TO BE A TATTOO ARTIST WITH A SIDE CAREER AS AN AUTHOR. SO ANYONE WHO HAS CONTACTS IN EITHER FIELD, PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP.

I don't know what's happening tomorrow, don't really care. 'Nother lazy day. Fine with me.

Hero and Jonah (and the 4th)

On the 3rd I went out to HFH cuz they were having a little celebration. And a new horse was brought to us. His name was Pokey, but he is now Jonah. He's in relatively good shape, other than that his back hooves are horribly overgrown and haven't been trimmed once in his three years of living. It'll take years to fix those feet. He's a happy stallion and he's very affectionate. After the party we went out to Grandma's for Uncle Chris' 41st birthday (yes, his birthday is the 3rd). We ran around and played and had a great time. Then mom and dad went home and I went to Boom City with Chelsea, our friend Alexis, and Megan. Boom City was way cool the night before the 4th lots of fireworks and people. Chris went to the stand he went to last year and he practically bought them out. While he and the stand guy were hauling boxes of fireworks to the truck, this delivery guy came up and asked us if we worked there, cuz we had so many boxes of fireworks. It was very cool. Then the next day was the 4th. I opened up the two huge packs of fireworks I got along with thre grocery bags full from Chris and random other things. $115 worth of fireworks. I got the blowtorch and started lighting shit off. It is one of my favorite holidays. We spent the first half of the day lighting stuff off and swimming, while yelling at Page, one of the neighbors' grandson (who's really hot) who was on his jetski. Then we got dressed up for the parade, where we dress as pirates. Chelsea, Alexis, and I got silly string from Denise, and (this is really cool) while we were waiting for Chris to turn our float around, Page came by on his family's golf cart and Alexis sprayed him with the silly string yelling "Happy 4th of July!" It was pretty awesome. Then we finished the parade and started lighting more stuff off. As it started to get dark, Chelsea, Alexis, and I set up our pre-show show. We're like the opening act for Uncle Chris (who bought $1500 in fireworks). We lit off a zillion mortars, mini-works (smaller versions of the really big stuff), some Roman candles, and some rockets. We had about 18 mortar tubes lined up and I put a rocket in each one, then went along with the blowtorch and lit them all at once. I did it a bunch of times. I was very proud of myself. It was quite a feat. I'm going to forget to mention the summer showers that sent us into a frenzy, covering up fireworks. At dark Chris did his show (which was awesome) and we headed home, me bone tired. Next day I got up and went to HFH. The baby is now named Hero. Erin, my unschooling friend, is volunteering there now, so I hung out with her most of the day, and we had a nice conversation with jenny, over raspberry cheesecake. It was a nice day, all in all. The next day I went over to Alexis' (Chelsea was there), we made brownies, watched Pirates of the Caribbean, and played around. Then we went to the Midnight Show of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST. I don't want to spoil anything, but I have to say that it was pretty amazing. If you go to it, stay for the credits. There's a hidden scene. It's not so important, but it's enjoyable. Then we went home and crashed at 4am. The next morning we spent reading Teen Titans fanfics and listening to the Pussycat Dolls. Stuff like that. Then yesterday, Saturday, I went to POTC2 again, this time with Megan and Maddie, who hadn't seen it yet. Mom and Dad went, too, and it was cool. But before the movie, the three of us hung out at Grandma's. Anyway, tomorrow we're taking Mezza to the vet again. Nope, she ain't dead yet. Now I'm gonna go.

OUR NEW BABY!!!!!!!!!

At one AM on July 1st, Faith delivered a healthy baby boy. Since he is a month overdue his legs are really long and he looks goofy. And since we name the horses that come to us in alphabetical order, he's going to be named something that starts with an H. Right now Jenny wants to name him Hallelujah, but John hates it. We've just been calling him Hal. I'm so happy and excited. It was also a very easy birth. We were prepared for the worst, so this is a miracle. Hal is curious and friendly and strong and healthy. =)

New Orleans and The Priest Point Pirates

I'm sorry. Anyway, about New Orleans. We were so busy the whole time I only remember activities, not really days. So . . . Activities. The next day, after we got there, we went to the French Quarter with Jerry and Cori. We got beignets at Cafe Du Mond and wandered the Quarter. We went to Reverand Zombie's House of Voodoo and got Chloe a postcard and a book on Voodoo, then we went to a shop mom really likes called Rumors and got her some earrings. After that we went and got Po' Boys and Jerry told the funny stories from his time in Iraq. I think that night we went to IHOP with Bob and his girlfriend of 25+ years, Anita. Have I talked about Anita? Well, she has 200 feral cats she's "rescued" and 12 dogs, plus she doesn't realize she's as crazy as she is. The woman gets on my nerves because she treats Bob really bad. He talked about dumping her on their second date, but he's still with her after all this time. Sure, it's partly his fault, but it's motly hers that his life is so fucked up. Anyway, other than having to bite my tongue a zillion times, dinner was OK. The next day, Thursday the 15th, I forget what we did during the day, but that night Jerry dropped by and we chatted, then since dad's sister Chrissy was off work, we all went out to dinner at Ye Olde College Inn on St. Charles. Or was it Carrollton? I get those two mixed up. The next day dad and I went to the Quarter and wandered around. It was really empty! I've never seen it that empty. Cuz of the hurricane I think. After the Quarter we went to dinner at Carmine's with dad's sister Judy, her boyfriend Gary, dad's brother Chuck in from Houston for the weekend and his wife Karen (eew), Aunt Chrissy, dad's dad Papa Marty, Jerry, Cori, Cori's mom, and two of their friends. It was pretty boring at first, but it picked up after awhile and the food was pretty good. Then Saturday was Lori's big father's day party at their new place on the North Shore. They have two and a half acres on a river. It's really cool. So, there's a little bluff over the river, and on the edge of the bluff is this really big tree they tied a rope to and we soent all day swinging in. It was pretty cool. Dad has pictures, but they're on the other computer. Anyway, on Sunday we went to meet some of dad's sailing friends he met on one of his Google Newsgroups. They were pretty nice, then dad dropped me at Gary and Judy's. cuz all of them were going to a bar to watch dad's old friend Big Daddy O (Owen) play there. He's like a bluesy kinda guy or whatever. I got to stay at Judy's with Brian and watch TV. Fabu. What did we do Monday? I think we went out to dinner with Bob and Anita. Then the next day, we went for beignets at Morning Call with Bob and Anita, who then dropped us off at the airport. I skipped HFH the next day in order to recover. Oh, and this is the shitty part. Well, mom had been noticing that Mezza Luna, my rat, wasn't feeling well, so we took her to the vet on Monday. Miss Mezza's core temperature was down five degrees, among other things. The next day I went to HFH and Sarah and I ran around picking up stuff for the auction. Then she dropped me home and the three of us, mom, dad, and I took Mezza back to the vet to hear the results of the bloodtests they were doing. Turns out Mezza's liver has something wrong with it. So now we're giving her Sub Qutaneous (I have no idea how to spell that) everyday, antibiotics, feeding her baby food, and giving her Sam-E, a people medicine that the vet recommended for liver health. The poor little rat. I've got my hopes up, because she's looking alot better now. Anyway, Thurday I went to HFH again we pulled up Ragwort in the back field. If the horses eat Ragwort they die, so it's kinda important. Then we have two babies, Chloe and Gracie, who don't know how to walk on a lead rope, so we were working on that. Then, that night, I babysat the neighbor kids from 7-11. Thankfully, they went to bed at ten. Jeezum, I was so tred that night I kinda had a meltdown. It's a little bit embarassing on my part, so that's all I'm gonna say. Anyway, on Monday we're going to Grandma's to deck out Papa's dinghy as our pirate ship for the parade. Have I said anything about that? ON the 4th, out at Grandma's house, all the kids who go to their grandparents' houses on the beach for the 4th of July put on a parade, and every year they all dress in red, white, and blue, but we have the tradition of dressing up as the Priest Point Pirates. It's wicked fun. So we need a ship. Dig? After we decorate the ship, I have to go to Boom City to buy my fireworks. Then the next day is the 4th! And on the 6th, at Midnight, the Regal Everett 9 has a midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Dead Man's Chest and ad and I got the idea that all of us, me, mom, dad, Chris, Denise, Chelsea, Megan, Maddie, Erin Eric, Emma, Ella, Grandma and Papa would all go dressed as pirates. Of course, we have to run it by them first. Oh, man, and I forgot to mention that my great grandma, GG, has diverticulitis, and Papa Marty had a mini stroke right after we left. Both are doing OK, as of now. More later.
